Columbia Choirs
Columbia Choirs is a community based, non-sectarian family of choirs training singers 3-years old through adult, based in the Kirkland, Washington area. It is a group of international award-winning choirs: Children's Concert Choir, Vocal Ensemble (Youth Choir), Con Brio Women's Choir.
This is a second redesign of an existing website. The first version was created in 2002 to soften the visual intensity and streamline the site navigation which had long scrolling pages and pages lost deep within its web structure. This second redesign in 2007 continues to soften the lines, update the look and colors, and focus the website towards women - mothers who tend to be the primary influence in signing up their children to join the choir. In addition, a second related site was created for the Columbia Choirs Association (CCA), a non-profit organization created to encourage and assist the Columbia Choirs in the development of talented children within the geographical area of King and Snohomish Counties, surrounding Seattle, Washington, to enrich the cultural experience of such children and members of the public. Since the CCA is an all volunteer organization, we needed to work closely with many different people to create a secure, password-protected site containing a member roster/contact database, calendar, and choir business information for access by parents and adult members of the choir.
