Bellevue Community Band
Founded in 1962, the Bellevue Community Band provides the opportunity for community musicians from all backgrounds and training, all ages and all levels of experience, to make music and enjoy the pleasure of playing in a band. The BCB is a non-profit volunteer organization which performs concerts in the Bellevue vicinity. We vary in size from 50 to 80 members, and play outdoor concerts in the warm weather months and indoor concerts year-round.
The original website was created a few years ago by one of the members of the band who had technical abilities, but little web design experience. The overall layout was good, but the site was minimally functional and difficult to maintain with no one really having the skills to easily make changes. We took over the site and made some very minor visual proportion changes, added a database to house their roster and event calendar data, and also added some content management functionality to assist in keeping critical sections of the site up to date. All of the data can be administered through online web pages.
